Hey everybody !!

I've been asked to do some more jazzy videos...so here is a little pedagogical one. First I did it for fun, but I thought it would be cool to put it on youtube...

Of course you can also harmonize this melody (G-F-Eb) in other keys to have richer chords !

*All examples harmonised and recorded by Jean-Baptiste Craipeau
* No auto-tune or pitch correction (as you may hear...the key isn't very solid, sorry about that !)

HOPE YOU LIKE IT !!
Say which one do you prefer...

  • Your music seems influenced by the Singers Unlimited and by Boyz to Men. It's really tasty stuff!

  • @MrGWHLevy Take 6 most, then Singers Unlimited, Hi-lo's, real group etc. But Boyz II Men ?? not at all =)

  • With two year of delay but...what the hell, this is such a cool and instructive video that it always deserves a thumb up. ; )

  • Thanks that was an insane lesson!!! much love xxx

  • Please put up more videos on vocal harmony so that you can reach into your instrumentalist audience base!

  • Really interesting - and very useful. Thank you!

  • JB,

Thank you for keeping the Clark Burroughs-Gene Puerling vision of what voices can do alive. You are a gifted musician and arranger. I wish you only the very best in what I greatly hope will be a great career.

  • Excellent stuff man

  • This is awesome man! Can you make more videos for different types of progressions? I've been arranging a cappella songs for a while and want to get into more jazzy arrangements. :)

  • GREAT job here. I imagine that you're also into The Four Freshman?

I've always been intrigued by ..I'm always Chasing Rainbows..

Nobody has tackled this yet .......you might just be the man eh?

search youtube with: The Four Freshmen tour South Dakota and sing "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows"

     check 2:07

  • Try and get your hands on a Phil Mattson arrangement. He's truly the best.
