Ok, what it should boil down to. People with weapons and people without weapons. Cause really that's all we really need to know. Sure it's good know what side of the people WHO LIVE THERE killed there own so that we know where to go from there. But really all this need to be us = #, them = #, and civi = #. All of this crap is bring it to a lvl where the dead become faceless and we become detached to the fact that people are DEAD!

LA Times: This does not include deaths from car bombings, which the military said have numbered more than 2,600 this year.
Wash Post: According to a spokesman for headquarters of the Multi-National Force-Iraq, "Given a lack of capability to accurately track Shiite-on-Shiite and Sunni-on-Sunni violence, except in certain instances, we do not track this data to any significant degree."
Attacks by U.S.-allied Sunni tribesmen, recruited to battle Iraqis allied with al-Qaeda, are also excluded.

He defines "sectarian violence" as perpetrated by 1 sect against another sect "for sectarian reasons"--but sect affiliations are sought in neither face-to-face shootings (ASSUMED to be non-sectarian murders) nor bombings (considered non-sectarian because they tend to kill collaterally members of more than 1 sect, despite target). If you make no attempt to identify the sect affiliations in those cases, you will get a deceptively small monthly "sectarian" death toll.

Where is the humanity, where are enlightened Americans/ UK politician and NGOs.
Over 0.8M dead in Iraq and Afghanistan. Depleted Uranium tempered Ammunition used against civilians will have environmental impact for the generations to come.
Using Airplanes, Tanks in residential areas is the worst cruelty against people of Iraq and Afghanistan.
US and UK have already committed the damage equal to 6- Nukes.

What if Al Qaeda bombs a subset of Kurds, killing 500 in one day? Does that meet your narrow definition of sectarian violence? What if one Sunni group kills another Sunni group? What if Al Qaeda kills some of their fellow Sunnis? What if a Shiite group kills another Shiite group? The way he defined it, one group had to kill an opposing group in a different sect. But even under his definition, the Kurds' deaths SHOULD'VE BEEN counted.
