Released in 1965, it peaked at number three on the bestseller list and yielded two chart singles, including the title cut, which locked in at No. 2.   • @PrettyVillan, Well - Ray Price has been in the music business 60 years. He exemplifies original country music! He is Frank Sinatra of country music.

    Including "For The Good Times" which spent 24 weeks on the Pop charts. His first chart hit was in 1952 and he was still charting hits in 1990. He's still touring. The question you ask is impossible to answer.....Indeed, why have you never heard of this guy?

  • Just saw Ray Price last night at the Buck Owens Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, and he sang this song. The mans voice has not deserted him in the least. I'm here to tell you he can still rattle the rafters! What a treasure, what a pleasure, what a gentleman.
