Thorpe is unbelievably graceful in and out of the water. Phelps might be the GOAT but I can never get tired of watching Thorpe's technique

@pranalad Dont make me laugh, Michael Phelps is the best ever, he broke Thorpe's 200m freestyle record with a textile suit and have a lot of diffrent event he can swim, and swim on a world record time. And i rather say this: Thorpe was the best from 1999~2002, and then its really was all about Michael Phelps.

Thorpe -> Phelps -> Lochte is the progression. Thorpe was the best from 2000 to 2004, Phelps from 2004 to 2008, and now it's Lochte's time.

For most of sport, the top player need other competitor to chase him, unfortunately, in Thorpe's era, it seems that he is alone. So no incentive for him.
