Beating him at full power requires some grinding but not too much. Atlas' two fist attacks is where the danger is. You need to be at full health the make sure you survive. Tortoise this. If Serah dies then use a Phoenix Down then go into Salvation. Immediately switch to Tireless Charge to keep the chain going. A Wound Potion is needed after the attack as well. Relentless Assault to raise the gauge when you have a little time between attacks and your hp is close enough to where you can potion it to max. His other attacks are not that bad but still use Tortoise on them.

Things I believe are important:
Sen Bonus 2 for Serah
ATB segment for Noel
Curaja for Noel
+20 Equipment Capacity for both (Black Belt and Iron Bangles equipped)

Checking the save afterwards I had 3:39:XX.

  • WOAH is this possible in the real game?

I beat the game first before i was even able to survive Atlas' first attack, and my people had way more HP and i was even using SEN.

I was almost required to have at least 2 SENs active during his "one-two" punch move.

  • @RemiusTheAwesome I have a video response with the full fight in the actual game. You can do it 7 hours into the game. Even quicker considering I was watching scenes and such.

  • How long did the whole fight take? I was going to attempt this a few hours ago, but got bored with grinding and quit the demo.

  • @el3m3nTtHL The battle took 24:49.

  • Okay, finally I got Noel at with 35 medic with one atb and 20 capacity and Serah at 36 with sen and the two sen bonuses. Noel hp: 1058 attack: 66 magic: 54 Serah hp: 787 attack: 53 magic: 57 am I good to go?

  • @goodlyoak10 Your hp is a lot lower than mine. I had 1234 with Noel and even then survived an attack by the 4 hp so I doubt it. Serah had 1014. While it doesn't look like she lives through the strongest attack Atlas has she would survive with 50 or so earlier in the fight . I guess her hp doesn't matter as much but you will need more Phoenix Downs to make up for it.

  • fuck it i used the machine and moved on

  • should i pretty much almost max serahs crystarium

  • ending of the demo is different if you kill it full hp ?

  • @luchorrock Noel was probably main because he has more HP, even with all of Serah's SEN levels and an Iron Bangle. It's no longer a Game Over if your leader dies, but the UI does lock you out for a few seconds as it changes leaders for you, which could be deadly in a challenge like this one.

If the demo is accurate, Serah never learns Curaja, making Noel the superior healer.

I did this challenge yesterday. Very fun! Might resume my NCU in 13 while I wait...

  • @cheftastytreats Normally the fight with the boss at full power is meant to be done much later in the game. It gives an alternate ending from doing it at full power. I doubt it will be made easier in the full game.

  • why did you use noel as your main? I mean Serah has more magic. Your tireless charge shouldve been COM MED COM

  • LOL @ target time 9.42 and you did it in 24.49

Yea I can see this boss is going to be way easier in full game

  • Amazing. I applaud your for your hard work? xD Tho it must suck for you now that all your hard work is kind of gone. You should've recorded your crystariums as well X]

That was really entertaining none the less :D Video favorited.
