Rob Warmowski recently had the opportunity to speak with Brad Naples, from the original New England Digital team that developed the Synclavier in 1975. Vintagesynth.com calls the Synclavier the "Rolls-Royce or Bentley of the Vintage Synthesizer heritage." It was the first product that did commercial digital additive synthesis, and NED went on to become one of the first companies to do direct to disc digital recording - using a whole five meg!

Brad is full of information about this vintage gem and other synth history. We've got the tip of the iceberg in this first interview, only on Gearwire.com.
