My wireless programmable light, shown here doing a random demo.

Technical details: It's based on a JeeNode arduino clone, driving a set of power LEDs affixed to a pentium heatsink in a recycled glass shade. A python server daemon accepts instructions via a web interface and sends serial commands to a JeeLink module which relays those via RF to the light controller JeeNode.

The light also has a 'white' mode with considerable more powerful white LEDs mounted in the center for general lighting. This random mode is for fun, but normally it's doing mood lighting or white light, with my Android phone sending different coloured alerts to it via Tasker. The phone can likewise toggle the light on off via a widget.
