Two the great underrated tenors, Plas Johnson and Red Holloway, on Johnson's slow-strutting blues "Pass the Gravy," from their 2001 'Keep That Groove Going!' Recorded at Van Gelder Studios, Englwood Cliffs, New Jersey on April 24/25, 2001. Johnson and Holloway (tenor saxophone), Melvin Sparks (guitar), Gene Ludwig (organ), Kenny Washington (drums).
One month after this was recorded, Washington would also play on David "Fathead" Newman's "Cristo Redentor," also featured on this channel.

Glad you like it! When I tried to upload this originally I was told it wasn't allowed on Youtube, and then months later it magically showed up among my videos. Go figure.
