@BurnKilluminati I don't remember my skin "thickening" because it was pretty consistent. By thin, do you mean it's peeling a lot?
Before accutane I was on many antibiotics. I tried proactiv before that and I've used every dosage of benzoyl peroxide you can think of. It always worked for a month or so, then it became useless. On the bright side, Accutane does kind of fix your skin after. It fades scars somewhat and smooths out your skin.

@heartbreaker2377 Thanks, btw did your skin thicken up after your got off accutane (in your problems areaS)? My skin is so thin right now, I took my past pill 5 days ago. I just hope it recovers :(
Also, what products did you use before going on accutane, i mean did you try proactiv, and all that crap? I feel benzoyl peroxide ruined my skin and made my acne worse than it ever was, very idiotic mistake! and there is no way to reverse the damage

@BurnKilluminati So Sorry for the late response. As far as I remember, I used condoms and abstinence as my two forms. AKA, thats what was listed on the form. :) We accutane people are not sexually active! ;) Anyway, most people go on birth control because some types can help with acne. Usually this is orthocyclen. Here's the thing. It is not a miracle pill, nothing like Accutane. I would say DO NOT WORRY. I went on birth control later for cycle regulation, but even then, no breakouts! Relax :)

@heartbreaker2377 Hey did you take birth control, for how long? and did you break out from going off it? I am on my last month of accutane, but am sooo scared I will get cystic acne from it because a lot of people have been breaking out like crazy after going off Birth control. I hope this is not true because it would totally defeat the purpose of being on accutane in the first place!

@MissMehekiee There are some side effects that continue afterwards, so I would only do it if you're 100% unhappy with your skin. :)
hi, i've been off accutane for 1.5 months, and i did it for 6.5 months. i've experienced hair loss and getting really worried. did you experience hair loss? how long have you took accutane?
huongshirley 4 months ago
@huongshirley I was on accutane for 5 months and a bit. I don't recall any significant hair loss. If you're worried, you should talk to your dermatologist. :)
