  • I saw all of the Broadway Melchiors and Matt Doyle was undoubtedly the best. He brought something to the character that all of the others (even Groff) couldn't. It was a really beautiful performance.

  • Hate to say it, but he sings this better than JGroff :(

I don't know why I'm sad about that, lol.

  • @ruyona he sings better, but acting... eh.

  • I was there for that show- breathtaking.

  • He kinda sounds like Jonathan Groff and I love Jonathan Groff voice to but Matt Doyle is Killing this song I mean that in a good way. Jonathan Groff has a rock like soft broadway voice

  • He needs to be on a soundtrack!!

  • God, that cello part in the beginning breaks my heart everytime.

  • @blackstockj no it is not?

  • @Kylezilla No, no, no! Haha. I was hoping you wouldn't think I was attacking you either. I was just stating the obvious that I don't really know how to classify voices. I kind of just go by what a book tells me. :) Lol. All in all, we both have great taste, ha. :)

  • @beltingbaritone Oh, I hope you don't think I'm verbally attacking you! lol. You're a Matt Doyle fan so obviously I wouldn't do that. I can see why you'd reach that conclusion though

  • @Kylezilla Yeah. I never said he was a baritone 'cause he could hit lower notes. Tenor low notes are gorgeous. I was going based on tone and comfort range and range in general. And hey, I'm not a professional, I was just going by my ear, so what do I know? Haha.

  • @beltingbaritone I don't know. Everyone I've ever talked to about him has classified him as a tenor. I mean, just because he can hit some low notes doesn't mean he's a baritone. I'm a tenor and I can hit low notes.
