Obviously, "Deaf Opression" has been around forever. Deaf have always been seen as "disabled". However it has not been institutionalized till CIs. That sux. Seeing D/deafs as disabled with no proof of this is is the reason for CIs.
The only thing that is good for ALL people is RESPECT! I do not see this in oralism or CIism. CIs are part of Bush's "Axis Of Evil".

Although I can visually understand the moving slideshow but I agree with Barb below that captions would be a bonus for increased accessibility. I love that quote, "What is best for one group, really best for all?" We could use that quote in our fight against audism. Very good vlog but need captions. Thanks!

I am Deaf myself and could feel the voices talking in background. Since you are talking about Deaf Oppression, won't you consider putting captions so that we won't feel oppressed watching that video with access? Thank you.

Thank you so much for your comments. This was a project for a media class with a very short amount of time alloted to create the photo-story. Plus with my very limited technology background adding one more medium was frightening to me with the time alloted. I appreciate your comments and hopefully in the future (now that finals are over) I can figure how to add captions so it will be accessible to all, and does not promote the continuation of audistic thoughts and actions.
