Vodafone Australia's Billing Department is located in Egypt

What a coverup! Frustration abounds in dealing with call centres. If you have had a gutful of call centres and poor customer service I have too. Did you know the Billing Department of Vodafone Australia is based in Egypt. If you want to be run around go for it. Nowhere in the website for vodafone Australia do they state that their department is in Egypt. This is yet another company hiding the fact that its shifted itself overseas. Vodafone Australia. Overseas call centres.

4.TELSTRA Call centre in Philippines now -theres been some crazy stuff happening when i call eg. with my internet they wanted to reset everything so they could start at number 1 process on their read sheet! that included resetting up my modem! for just a connection of the notebook to the WiFi modem issue!

5. A number of countries hav different customer service ethic. eg. may be the local language doesnt translate well2 English. What might be ok in Local language sounds rude/abrupt in English.

I suppose at the end of the day with call centres - it doesnt matter where they are located what i want is:

1. If asked where are you located NOT TO BE LIED TO: some deny and say i cant tell you. some hang up if pressed for the question.

2. I dont want to be fed off a read sheet and told the same thing going around in circles and getting nowhere

3. I dont want to be told i CANNOT ESCALATE the phone call - we are just a call centre and receive calls but cannot get the call directed higher.

people, Vodafone Australian Account is not working right now. but let me tell this( it's not a call center, it's Vodafone Egypt, they are all Vodafone employees & i'm so proud to be part of Vodafone Egypt team & proud to tell you that we(Vodafone Egypt) serve UK & Germany too )

To @misshebaelsaid !! ..Actually. I dont care now that call centres are overseas if only some handled my enquiries a lot better and were a bit more sympathetic rather than being pathetic to my problems. That said, Im just back from 7 months in Asia and dated, made friends with lots of call centre workers and you guys .. man! i take my hats off to you how you guys work. I'd posted this video before I went away ... Keep up the good work .. I know how stressful your jobs are with some accounts:)

LIke ogrezee said, its actually in Tasmania. I used to work there. The Data Support department got outsoursed to Egypt.
