Nobody's jigg
a trio by David W Solomons for alto recorder, violin and guitar based an old tune called "Nobody's Jigg"
(There are other tunes by the same name, including a similar one published by John Playford, but this one suited my purposes best).

This is an electronic preview of the arrangement - I hope to hear a live performance one day.

The score and parts are available at:
http://dwsolo.load.cd/sheetmusic/sm-84875_4_folk_song_trios_for_recorder_viol...

The image was created from a photo of Marie Keyser and me playing duets many years ago, with the insertion of a photo of an even younger me playing violin, with sepia/monochrome effects for individual instruments when they have rests, for the minor mode section and for the end of the piece
(fun with Serif software ;-))

  • Hi Dave - for this one I used Sonar and assigned the various soundfonts (including synful violin) after creating the midi file

  • Amazing work yet again , Do you create these using edirol or do you play the intruments directly into a sampler ?
