  • I hope you enjoyed your time in the band. All those hours practicing, then performing in parades and field shows, translated into comraderie and, hopefully, a sense of satisfaction and recognition of progress. For the person videotaping, however, I wonder if it was very frustrating dealing with onlookers who were crowding into the marching lane, in what seemed a very narrow space. However, the participants probably didn't notice, engrossed as they were in playing. Happy Holidays!

  • @gonzofoto Thanks I did have some good years especially my soph and junior years. That street was narrow. You can hear one of the parents say we had to "squeeze" to get through. As far as the spectators, there's not much you can do since everyone has a right to be there. Sometimes I think the video camera people are the crazy rude ones who want "the perfect shot" LOL. They zoom and expect a 200 foot clear view. Just isn't gonna happen. workmanlobosfan records us might want to ask him

  • no kidding when you say its finally over. We always sound bad at this parade. ALWAYS. That's because we get our march so late. typical clements and wicks bs. i'll miss all the people and the fun this past 4 years especially the football games and going to the field comps. They should just do away with parades and add more field comps. but they won't. good luck next year & the years ahead present and future Blue Thunder members . THANKS MATT for all the videos this past 4 years. u r the best.

  • @WHSMustangs Thanks my uncle recorded every video so I have to give him some props. I think he'll be mia for a year and will be back recording my cousin who'll be in band year or two from now. Not sure what the channel will be called. Probably BlueThunderFlute?? or something like that.

  • Just a short additional message, to state that Workman did an excellent job videotaping. He captured all the components (letters, rifle group, DM, musicians, and your large flag unit), and used a tripod to get a steady image. I hope he can be dissuaded from his declared intention to stop recording, and that he will attend other parades, even though he has professed his dislike of the "street". Best wishes!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed your time. It's true that the video people can be a little "demanding". People want to document these events perfectly, in a way similar to the footage from TV broadcasts, but they don't have the equipment (professional videocameras and tripods, overhead booms, etc.). You'll have many more memories in your college years, and from what I understand from Workman, you have family who attended both USC and UCLA. I hope you make the best choice for you. Best wishes, y adelante!

  • @dadorothy I'm not sure yet.. I'll let you know when I do

  • U fely the sane way when I graduated! :) I agree. MATT IS AWESOME! LOL
