Myself (Silver '04), Tuff (Shrocked Granite '03), Justin (semi-stock Granite '03) and Andy ('94 Hardbody).

Mid-May trial run at Coal Creek before the NOAS CC run.

And my first attempt with Movie Maker... I'll get better hopefully.

  • so did the stock 4x4 do okay? i have a stock 4x4 ford i was thinking about taking.. what you think?

  • @KeepItRoostin658 It handled just fine. There are a lot of trails there that offer something for every type of vehicle. If you're looking for something stock friendly, there is a group of 4 trails in the southwestern area of the park that are fun. #22, #26, #27, #30?, #31? make a good loop. #3, #4 and #5 offer a little more of a challenge. #16 has been toned down a lot but still has some fun sections.

  • s/c is body lift only?

  • I have lift shackles and t-bar crank for about 1.5" of suspension lift and a 2" body lift. Upgraded to SLR uca's up front and 33" tires now.

  • BTW... the silver ice S/C is mine. The other s/c (granite) is stock.

  • The Xterra at 2:00, what are the tire/wheel dimensions? What's a good amount of backspacing on an Xterra with a 3" susp. lift?

  • You will need to get a 2" body lift if you're wanting to go up in tire size. A suspension lift won't help you clear larger tires.

  • @Rckdreams if you are wheelin i say 1st gen. the second is way taller but doesnt offer you any more clearance. its also wider and longer which is bad for turn radius, tight spaces etc...plus girls took over the 2nd gen for some reason.

  • @omarantuan xterra is known to be bad on gas. they're heavy and have same horsepower as svt focus. thus, you need to rev it high to accelerate at any decent rate. i just accelerate super slow and use cruise control and i've been getting 19mpg. which is pretty good because i also have the shackle and tbar crank (1.5") and 32" tires which added an inch of lift over the 30" tires. BTW: a stock gen1 xterra can go to 32" tires if you trim this much ] [ off the inner lip of fender

  • whats up ... i have an 02 xterra i got mine preowned great car i havent had any complains from it but 1 gas ..... . now my question is do these babys normally waste gas ... i have on it as of now 104.56 i had done my tune up along time ago and filters changed dbut i dont know what else to do i feel like am payin gas for an armada lol please respond ..

  • i was wondering was is better the new style xterras and frontiers or your gen. I like the new engine and stuff with the new gen. but ive heard horror stories or weak axles and diffs going out. soo which do you think is better and why??
