  • That generation knew how to dance... Today's generation? Grinding is what you do at parties and clubs now. Or jump around pumping your fist in the air to some electronic computer beats.. so sad..

  • @LaxplayerBlink182 My sentiments exactly

  • This lokks so fun. I so wish i was born in this time!

  • @LaxplayerBlink182 World War II. Think of that, it would have been much worse. And you wouldn't been dancin' all the day! Would ya'?

  • The great days of real dancing ... We need a revival these days

  • @ForeverOldiesO1 I completely agree! At dances now all you can do is grind (if youre into that) slow dance and jump-up-and-down dance.

  • This looks like SO much fun. Why cant I have been born during that era...I have to go to the school dances and watch sluts grind on everyone and everything. Classy.

  • I am a prepubescent male child born into certain misery and distress in the slums of New Delhi, India. This music is under-appreciated, I hardly ever see my friends listening to it.

  • I was born during this era, (1942) but when i got old enough to jitterbug and Lindy, it was all gone, replaced by doo-wop. That was okay, but never as good as this hot swing music and dancing. PBS pretends that it is, with all the re-creations of Rock and Roll memories. But it isn't. Take a hot Tommy Dorsey number, put some Boogie Woogie (never leave out the Woogie!) and nothing beats it.

  • There may be hope for the younger generation yet...
