My copy of the rare "The Shining Sound Track" arrived in the post this morning on vinyl record - oh YES!

4/6/09: Yay 100,000 views !! ツ

The version of the film that I used, was the longer uncut version of the film, hence why certain parts are included in this trailer.

It was only made due to the fact I am a huge fan of this movie, I have it on VHS, Blu-ray (UK and USA versions), DVD (US) and a 720p version on my hard drive(s). I could have used the movie soundtrack in this trailer, but I felt like using something else that is not related to the movie...


*** Please note, I do not intend for this to 'replace' the original movie trailer with the blood rushing out of the doors. ***

My most popular video too ☺, and by far, one of my best edits. I am proud of this trailer ... all created in one night inside of Final Cut Pro.

I love opening my MacBook, clicking here to YT, and opening my comments folder, I now love expecting the abuse from people about this trailer... Some people hate it like the plague, others like it, and praise it. But some people begin using abusive language, if you don't like it, say so in a kind way. If you don't then you are just wasting time posting a comment that won't be displayed in the first place.

It used to upset me a little, but now I just laugh and deny the post from getting here... If it's not a good video then why does it have so many views?

Cool vid! Could you please tell, if the frames with skeletons in the restaurant are from "The Shining"???

@Morihay Hi there. Yes all of the footage in the video is from The Shining, 1980. It's the longer cut of the film though. It's when Wendy goes back into the lobby and sees them and kinda freaks out.

Also in your version the part at 1:20 where he jiggles the modules in his hand isn't in the other cut... he just takes one out in the other one.

If you've got the rare original soundtrack album, then why not use selections from it to accompany these clips instead of modern Hans Zimmer soundtracks? I mean, if you're going to infringe on copyrights, you might as well do it with music appropriate to the project.

this is the with the twin girls right? and where the kid is in a tricycle? I've always wanted to see this movie after seeing it appear as an easter egg in the movie Twister xD anybody remember that? the movie was being played on those outdoor movie things while a tornado showed up D:

@shumi182 Yes, I can confirm this is the same movie as in Twister. Every time I see Twister, I wait for that part haha. The parts they show in Twister are the hallway scene (Twins and Danny) and the part where Jack is breaking the door down later in the movie just as the twister rips the screen off.

This is the dumbest fucking movie I have ever seen. Not busting chops here I really hate this movies and "don't get it" till this day.
