Whatever happened to analog recording? The digital diahreeah they have these days has no class, no style. I like a little scratcy, a little hum, a little pop, a hiss, a noise. It adds to the fantasy.

@TarAntXon No man, he's right. I was able to find a copy of the Harvey Mandel "Cristo Redentor" LP and this track is in it. I do believe that the lush and dreamy orchestration has a somewhat lysergic quality though. :)

@chuckbirth the upoader is incorrect: Donald Byrd's Cristo Redentor is in fact the track used, a Blue Note records release from 1963. The Harvey Mandel version of the tune is something else entirey as it's interpreted from a guitarist's perspective and I suspect benefits from added chemical stimuli.

As an SFSU alum of the Broadcast dept (BCA it used to be called), I got a big kick out of this. I stumbled upon your clip while searching for Nordine stuff.
Nice surprise. Thanks.

I used to have a coffee pot just like that...

@chuckbirth -- originally done by Donald Byrd as a gospel tune backed by jazz choir...gorgeous yes )

Very good! Only part that jangled me was the actor breaking character for a moment in the tub, but it's minor.

thats what I was thinking out loud

Sheer Genius! A step into the subconscious!
No matter how One makes that step, once done.. forever indelible!

Kind of like reincarnation...only more sensual.

Very cool film. Enjoyed it very much.
Question for Mr. StMartin: what´s the lovely piece of music we can hear between :31 and 2:20, before the Nordine narration actually starts?
Thank you for posting.
