Here's my Tamiya Bruiser and Tamiya High Lift running flat out in 3rd gear. Both trucks are 7.2 volt powered. The high lift is running with a 21 turn motor through stock gearing (making it a fair bit quicker than a standard truck). The bruiser is running with its original gears and motor. The high lift can run slightly faster with a Nimh battery, but for the purpose of proving the Bruiser is faster than a "stock" high lift, its fitted with an old nicad!

  • Are you running 7.2v in both trucks?

  • Il take the bruiser anyday:)

  • i think u might strip the gear box

  • i want one imagine what it cold go with a good brushless in it

  • Interesting, I would like to get an F-350 but they only recommend using the stock motor, I assume not to use a higher turn motor as may damage the gears through higher torque? whereas a lower turn motor would be ok? (as your 21t?) but would want a little more speed

  • This video is important to everyone interested in getting into three-speed R/C. I actually bought a High-Lift myself, but I always loved the Bruiser.

Anyway, I thank you for the video!

  • this is exactly what i was looking for!!

    great!

  • Great work mmbib! First time ever i´ve seen this comparison. Thanks for taking the time to do this! Thats two great trucks for sure. But theres something special with the Bruiser. And that 750 motor shows what it can do! I got to get me a 3speeder...
