jesus talk about a fuckin stoned crowd. bunch of idiots.

@persainchick 28 the chord progression to this song is also very catchy. i think it's pretty complex from a composition aspect, even if the chords are simple.

Great performance... and as far as criticizing the young Dutch or the fans in the Netherlands: ridiculous. The Shins lay down both musically & lyrically brilliant tracks, way off the beaten commercial path... and the enjoyment tends to be.... ... ... (wait for it)... ... ... cerebral and introspective.
I know my head-bangin' little ones... difficult concepts indeed.

seriously. this music takes so much more talent than mainstream crap. just listen to all the tones, the drumming, the guy's voice, and the depth of the lyrics. this song has so much more meaning than shit like "poker face".

retarded? "can't sing live"? first of all studio-material is processed a million times with a multitude of effects, using several tricks to make the vocals sound like the artist, producer or whatever wants it to sound like. Thus studio-versions of a song should not be compared to live, lightly... Live you only get a single try, obviously. James Mercer is an excellent singer, he hit practically all the notes and the backing vocals from the rest of the band was nice too! Hail the Shins! :D
