I have a suggestion: There are likely big chunks of Detroit beyond saving, but in this is an idea. Parts of the place look like a post-apocalyptic movie. Picture for a moment the kind of paintball game you could have in one of these neighbourhoods. If you could combine "safe"race circuits in the abandoned areas, you could combine a form of speedway and "urban combat" that would have adrenalin junkies lining up to play. Locals could be employed to maintain the "game sectors.

It has been awhile since I had a WTF moment, this video was one of them. Racial separation is the ONLY reason Detroit doesn't explode into blood and violence. This black man is racist. Who is he fooling about caring about the "latino" population. He is a BLACK racist, pure and simple. The ONLY people holding that city together are the remaining whites. Fugg'um. Ignore them, help your community: reject the system dictating the norms, stop voting, get out of debt, avoid the armed forces and police services, get access to decentralized energy, as well as access to water and other raw materials; and lastly, embrace education, science, and technology. If you cut them all off they'll go away or resort to coercion... in that case, they'll be biting the hand that feeds them. Then we'll see who has the real authority.
