I don't know what the original comment was, but if you're saying the mayor calls her a "bitch" and says she's "like a dog", that doesn't produce misogyny (spelt with an extra y) at all. The mayor is evil, so of course he's going to say something like that. And Buffy herself surely displays a lot of spirit throughout the show.
