@everymoss09 Shawn Michaels was supposed to be the fourth man on Randy Orton's Survivor Series team but injured himself badly a week before. There were no other face main eventers available for the match, so they needed something different - a guy trying to force his way into the main events. It didn't stop WWE immediately burying Maven after Survivor Series though!

@SayberV1 He was over at the time but It's just WWE didn't believe he was ready to be the future of the company and gave that spot to batista instead.
