Mob Tower - (edit:) DOES NOT WORK SINCE HALLOWEEN! Tutorial part 1 [commentary]

Since the Halloween update the 0,0 chunk has not had any special value in terms of monster spawning and results such as 100 items / floor / hour cannot be achieved in any way. What this video demonstrates does not work any more. Here's how ragraroo put it:

"This model still works, but you have to grandscale it. I made a tower that went from the skyline to bedrock, it took me a godly amount of time, but it still pumps out a nice amount of items. If you have the ambition and the time to put into building it, it will be worth your while. Current version: Beta 1.3_01"

I opened the saves folder, and opened world 2, what I got was basicly folders and files:

Region (folder) level (file) level.dat.old (file) and session.lock (file)

what am I doing wrong..?

@Eressiz 1) As stated in the video title, video annotations and video descriptions, the 0,0 chunk is no longer special. 2) The save file format changed in the latest patch so anything done here regarding messing with files is certain not to work.

you know an easier way to find the origin chunk is just to press F3 on your keyboard and it will show you your X Y and Z coordinates. Just follow it until you get X is 0 and Z is 0 and that will be the center of the origin chunk. Thumbs up so people can see :D

Try putting a block above the block above the block before the lava so they can't jump into the lava and their items won't be incinerated.
