hey will I be able to plug my ipod into a cdi500? Also, I am trying to decide whether to purchase a pair of the AA cdi500's or the AA velocity. Perhaps you can help me make a decision since I am new to the Dj game.

no you can't plug ipod in a cdi500. For it exist a gear from numark, cant remember the name, you just watch his site.

I dont think so. however be sure by watching the manual and see what IN and OUT door have the CDI500.

Can you preset the loop on the CDI 500? I have a Pro Scratch II and it doesn't have that feature. I'm looking at either the CDI 500 or the Pioneer CDJ 400.

mmmhh.... you can just recall it by press RELOOP button. or you can store max 6seconds as a sample, and so if you want you can store many loop untill 6 seconds.

yes you can, but you need an audio interface with 2 outs 2 ins like the maya 44 or the dj console rmx or mkii, or whatever you find with those inputs outputs
