  • You absolutely miss the point of his music. He doesn't play the solos because he wants to be flashey. Deluca's work is brimming with emotion, and the solos are an outlet of the feeling behind his songs. Any intermediate guitar player can watch Deluca play and know that the solos aren't an effort to "jazz up" the music, and Deluca is capable of much crazier things than what you see in his videos. You have to look past the show and see the story he's trying to tell.

  • I never thought i'd hear or see Rocco playing at a fucking starbucks.....

  • Yeah, this guy rocks!!!!!!!

  • Rocco sure has one hell of a future, talent for days...HUICHOL53.......

  • No doubt a talented young man..good luck to him....

  • @distar10 You fail to see how original and "pure" his approach is. You are an elitist asshole with you comparisons to the blues greats and how he'll never measure up. I for one am fed up with guys trying to ape the old masters. Clearly Rocco has his influences but he is an original and much more exciting than a white boy blues wannabe. By the way, what the hell have you ever done that has this depth? That's right, nothin'!

  • Get over the image stuff - Rocco is 'indie' so that he can show up at a Starbucks without signing a bunch of legal papers issued by his record label just to play his music.

  • rip it up with that slide guitar and a dobro love rocco!!!!! huichol53........

  • listening to Rocco is like suckin on lemons...Sometimes you want the sweetness of lemonade and sometimes you just want to suck on the lemon.

  • fucking amazing.. black mans soul stuck in a white boys body

  • In no particular order:

Son House, Bukka White, Sister OM Terrell, Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, Billie Holiday, Big Foot Chester, Willie Dixon, Taj Mahal, Blind Willie Johnson, Albert King, Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Koko Taylor

    That's a small sample.

  • See my latest post--didn't realize that I could respond directly. What old blues singers do you admire? I am just curious...
