David Sirota Calls for a Progressive Tack in "The Uprising"

We are at a critical point in this country, when the feeling of anger is so great that we can go one of two directions only, according to political author David Sirota. While it is a good time for progressives to move the nation into a positive direction, it is just as likely a time for the country to take an even more conservative tack - that is unless we stand up and get involved, particularly at a local and state level.

This video exerpt of Sirota was shot at a book reading at Cody's bookstore in Berkeley, CA on June 12, 2008. Sirota is on a nationwide book tour launching his new work, "The Uprising: An Unauthorized Tour of the Populist Revolt Scaring Wall Street and Washington."
