You could have just added that little part, because you do hear Laura and Eddie talking after all. I don't think it would have ruined anything. Actually, it probably would have made it a bit better.
I still like it though. Nothing beats Silent Hill 2. My favourite Silent Hill gameT_T

Okay I guess that's a good enough reason. But I still think it would have been more awesome if you put everything together.
The part where you have to walk into the bowling hall is important because you hear Laura and Eddie talking together.
