  • What I think is crucial to applying Psycho-Cybernetics to ones life is having the attitude change is possible NOW. Not tomorrow, but today. I know so many who want change in life but always say "next week I stop smoking", "next week I'll start getting in shape" the crucial step is the bravery to Initiate Your Dreams Immediately.

  • It's good to see Maxwell Maltz in video!

  • The Interviewer is so hilarious.

  • @HanzSygnal These type of people usually don't have enough leverage or Reasons to change, thats why they keep procrastinating. only when they link massive pain to their vice and massive pleasure to change, this will turn all their should s into must and propel them towards a life thats more fulfilling.

  • I'm also curious how this matches up with modern endocrinology.

  • I wonder how this holds up to modern psychology.

I used the visualisation of people being nice to me and me being relaxed around them. It works well but if one has anxieties that seem to have no basis, I attribute these in my case, at least to brain inflammation.

After years and years of anxiety, that was the answer. After that, techniques like those in Psychocybernetics start working.

    This is just my perspective.

I have same problem. I am only on chapter 5 so far. so far it is the best self help book i read. It kind of reminds me of "think and grow rich" "the master key system" "the science of getting rich" etc. those books talked about how thoughts shaped our destiny.

I find that cybernetics goes into more detail about how all this works in the mind. kind of like blueprint to your mind.

So how did it help you get along with people if you dont mind me asking :-)

  • @MikeTysonEatsKids

There are two concepts I like about it. The idea of the self-image. Ok, that sounds obvious but we really do hold an image of ourselves and act according to it.

The other is imagining how we'd like things to be and using visualisation. For me, it's just about getting on with other people better. It works very well and without doubt we pick up on each other's "vibes".

On a separate note, I'm finding the idea of avoiding "brain inflammation" the key to happiness.

  • @capricious71

  • You can buy a used copy on amazon.com for one cent...no kidding!

Look for the older paperback edition with the red and white cover.
