(Via Heather, http://crooksandliars.com ) Eleanor Clift and Clarence Page (two actual liberals for once) beat back host John McLaughlin and pundits Rich Lowry and Monica Crowley's patented GOP talking points on health care reform on The McLaughlin Group. Clift gets in the best line of the day when Lowry tried to claim that a private option would put the insurance companies out of business. Lo and behold, Lowry and Co. seemed to be reading right off of this list of health care reform myths..

"it's not perfect! not everyone is covered! why do we have to worry about keeping insurance!". They are babies. You can't have a perfect world. To follow this logic why not gaurntee every1 a job, a home, etc.. Cause it doesn't work.

Clinton was a criminal & a rapist, check the facts, he gave a fat lip to one of the ladies he raped & told her to put ice on it.. This country has the greatest healthcare system in the world. It just needs a little fine tuning. This healthcare plan is about control & is unconstitutional. If you want to really see how much more expensive healthcare can be wait until it is "FREE." The world looks to the USA for help in the time of crisis(Haiti).It is the people who want Obamacare that are stupid.

Eleanor Clift should have lost all her credibility when she said she would have done fellatio on the RAPIST Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinski scandal. Is she supposed to be a journalist or what? Aren't journalists supposed to be OBJECTIVE? She surely is not, she is BIASED and her arguments do not make sense.

I've been watching the McLaughlin Group for years, and I've always been struck by the fact that Eleanor Clift is usually interrrupted and not allowed to finish her remarks, whereas the other members of the panel are not treated so rudely. McLaughlin, the moderator, rarely interfers and asks the others to let her talk. She usually ends up having to raise her voice and ask to be allowed to finish. It's maddening, because her analysis is usually the best of all of them.

Wouldn't provide for the "general welfare" in that same section apply to provision of healthcare for citizens of the United States? Or at least an option to provide "general welfare"?
