Being a NJ native, I loved watching the Rangers, Islanders and Devils beat the crap out of the Flyers. I especially liked watching Gillies, Nystrom and Fotiu wreck havoc on the Flyers. I also loved watching Devils captain Scott Stevens deck Eric Lindros from the Flyers

@goalscr12 the reasons for the concussions is alot more than just equipment...The players are so much bigger, stronger and faster not to mention for yrs you could clutch and grab guys, now a days you cant...watch games from this era and these guys look so slow compared to the players today. I totally agree with letting the players police themselves...insitgator rule may have been the worst rule ever.

This is when hockey was hockey. The NHL (No Hit League) is a joke, The reason for all these concussions is the equipment hrad like a rock and no red line. When we played w/o helmets we rarely ever got hurt There was a respect back then. Also with all these new rules its a joke Bring back the red line and let the players police themselves.
Bettman is a joke and all these players are millionaires. If Avery was playing today we would have chopped him up

one thing about Nick Fotiu, besides that he was a great fighter, he could also take a punch and wouldn't bother him....the best fighter ever!!!!!

@harwicke If Carcillo contract pays him $ 1 he is overpaid. All Your Goalies are worthless. You will be crying another sad song when Your team gets dumped in the playoffs as they have for the last 35 Years !
U need 2 learn the first principle about being a sports fan. Until Your team wins a championship U need 2 Keep Your Mouth Shut. 35 years is a long time. Be PATIENT. Maybe the Flyers will win the Cup in Your lifetime.
