Training Montage music from Rocky IV (with lead guitar)

Bit of fun here,
This vid is just an experiment really to see what happens when I try to upload a video in much higher resolution than I usually do. Curious to see how it comes out on youtube.

The video....... used the Boss Gt-pro to try and dial in the classic 80's lead guitar tone.

Then just played over 'Training Montage' by Vince Dicola, which is from Rocky IV.... a great 80's movie!!

Thats an awesome jem and awesome playing! How did u mix the guitar and this track to sound/sync so well? What kind of equipment would i need to do this?

Thanks for the compliment! Video and guitar is recorded simultaneously into Imovie HD on my imac. (I'm using the built in camera on my imac here, sometimes for other vids I use a Flip camera). Guitar is recorded into imac using an M-Audio Firewire interface. In Imovie HD you can then add the backing track and sync it. Or, you can extract the audio from the video (just the guitar track) and build the track in Logic Audio or something like that then resync the whole thing to the vid in Imovie.

I didn't use any tabs for this. I just followed the main melody by ear and improvised the solo.
