The International Federation of Cheerleading (IFC) was formed in 1998 and is an international confederation of national Cheerleading organizations. IFC headquarters is located in Tokyo, Japan. Its primary activities are organized through standing Commissions that are each responsible for some aspect of the sport's development worldwide. The IFC sponsors a variety of international cheerleading competitions, including the Cheerleading World Championships (or CWC for short).
Cheerleading Federation of Hong Kong, China (CFHK) is a non-profit making association in Hong Kong established in 2006, and also member of the International Federation of Cheerleading and Asian Federation of Cheerleading.
The CWC is held every two years since 2001 and to date the competition has been held in Japan, the United Kingdom, Finland and Germany. Hong Kong will host the forthcoming CWC in 26 & 27 November 2011.
