U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) and U.S. Rep. John Sullivan (R-Okla.) sent a letter to the U.S. Postmaster General Patrick R. Donahoe, after the U.S. Postal Service announced their decision to delay further consolidation of postal facilities until May 2012. Inhofe and Sullivan welcomed the delay, but expressed their concerns regarding the process used to determine that Tulsa's mail distribution center should be closed. Despite the announced delay, the Postal Service will resume their facility consolidation process again on May 15, 2012. The text of the letter, which includes a series of questions that Oklahoma residents deserve to have answered, seeks to determine if the USPS used good business practices and quality data in making their closure decisions.
