A tribute to the last of the real Dogue de Bordeaux. Powerful, muscular, courageous, fearless, yet unconditionally loyal and affectionate. George Carlin said life is a series of dogs. If so, this was a life-defining one and he is missed dearly.
On Wednesday, the 24th of December of the year 2008, aged eight years, two months and four days, Boogar died peacefully in his favourite spot underneath the dining room table.
Boogar, we feel fortunate to have shared our lives with a friend that it is so heartbreaking to lose. Our devastation at your passing is softened only by the footprints you have left
on our hearts.

@AnimalsandNature , Dogues have a very short life span. 8 years is an average age unfortunately. That said, I would rather spend 8 wonderful years with a Dogue than 15 with many other types of breeds. Every breed has their special traits but something about a Dogue is magical to me.

Well, It is indeed an incredible dog and I hope he has left descendants! I am also sorry for the losses of everybody here, but I gotta say I have an American Bulldog which is also the most beautiful dog in the world. He is 1,5 yo and I donºt even want to think about that HORRIBLE day which I hope is LIGHT YEARS away! Cheers everybody, cheer up, and I am sure all your dogs are in Heaven now running around with each other or after a bone. ºCause Heaven is where all dogs go.
