The beauty of these shows is that they demonstrate a difference in styles and techniques. The American IPMS "best of show" style with over-the-top weathering and pre- and post-shading is not the only way.

Real zero interiors were handpainted, he is saying brushes suit the model better.

He's replicating the real interior paint jobs of late war Zero's. They where SLOPPY.
You might have been modeling for 30 years, but you sure dont know how to model accurately.
