Most metal riffs are not that new, being used in close variations, in other songs. The "skillz" of the metal band are determined by the life they breathe into the song, not by the originality, as hardly any music today is fully original anymore.

@MochaxXxFalcon must you start comparing rap and metal, can't there be one song where people don't bash either rap or metal? -_- I listen to Finnish and American gangsta/underground rap, especially West Coast hip-hop. I also listen to this, and I see good sides in both. Metal demands much more instrumental skills but try to write poetry that flows. It's not easy, it too is a skill you either have or don't. Stop hating or you're no better than the people you bash. Grow up.
