Even the best ice turns to crap at the end of the game, especially in front of the net when the goalies chew it up all game. The puck bounced on him and over his stick because of this. Now he should know better and just fire it in instead of being fancy, and he paid the price for his mistake. That one play pretty much led to the end of his NHL career.

Bad ice that's in Edmonton, do you know what Rexall place is known for. Having the best ice in the NHL (probably the world), so yeah bad ice isn't an excuse. Stefan has played in Florida, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Jose, and other US cities whose ice really is an atrocity. If you watch he lifts his stick off the ice just as he's in front of the net the puck keeps travelling in the same direction at that point which is right by the net.

2 and 3 were the Sedins, with the way the dealing went in that draft year the Sedins were probably 1 and 2, but the team that picked first promised to take Stefan in exchange for the first overall pick.
