I'm really sorry that this review has taken so long to get up on YouTube, I know that the Gathering Storm came out in late October but I've only just gotten the chance to seriously read it through and ponder the latest developments in the late James Oliver Rigney, Jr.'s epic saga.

I found that Brandon Sanderson's style molded very well into Robert Jordan's own and I am very impressed by the evident effort put into this book by Brandon Sanderson.


The next and final pair of books are under the current working titles:

Book 14: A Memory of the Light.
November 2011

Sanderson took the same amount of money to finish it even though he realized it couldn't be packed into a single book. Also, in regards to your response to @sickofu100 is wrong. Jordan said in an interview "there are spokes of the Wheel where people are not aware of the True Power, such as ours for example." Also, Olver cannot be Gladial Cain because he is too old. Also, you just seem pretty dumb in general, sadly.

I love Robert Jordan (James Oliver Rigney, Jr was his real name) for what he created, but the last few books were unnecessary and could have been compressed alot, Sanderson thankfully cut lots of the bloat. However he uses more modern-time diction with characters that can be a bit jarring and take you out of the story (ie, crazy homicidal mountainfolk). But he's doing a great job, I think. Can't wait for the final book, but also sad for it all to be over after 20+ years!

This book was well worth the read, and with Sanderson's style it's much easier to keep track of what's going on. With the previous books I would forget what happens, getting lost in a sea of descriptions where everything is "gilded" and "embroidered". It was great, though, but this more straightforward pace is refreshing.

I don't think this was a money scam, though. Sanderson writes less per chapter than Jordan does, and yet the page count is still up to 800. It's just a long story.
