@Pippithedog1 sorry that happened to you. I can say that is NOT the situation here. This was the 3rd or 4th time she was out of her room for the night, at least for that month in a row. Sleep training's not fun. Stern surprise is her weakness, and this time we caught it on camera.

@sparkey2140 Just my opinion some may say this is not a way to do things but I really dont care because my son alone is way to smart for his well being and without someone his life could be in danger.. But I think the kids will be old mature enough by 7 without having to worry about them getting out and wondering outside or getting anything deadly. Hope this helps

@sparkey2140 Before the locks we also tried a alarm which they sell at walmart it may work for you it sticks on the door if its opened the alarm will sound a high pitched noise this worked for awhile until the kids got to smart for it which didnt take long they would fly out the door shut it behind them so it was not going off long enough to wake anybody

@sparkey2140 Well I do its called get a lock on the door when they are in bed. I will tell you what my kids more than once have done the unbelievable I am talking every food item ruined all over the rooms poop ect but when they have a lock at bedtime we have never had a problem since we get up before the kids do there is no harm. I feel safer knowing they will not try to leave the house and find car keys or knives. We have 5 6 and 2 yo so far this is the only thing that has worked

Was this a deleted scene from The Shining?

She wanted to wash her teeth you stupid bitch. Nice husband you got. More like a deadbeat mongrel.
my nieces' do the exact same thing. The older one will try and sneak down the stairs to the bathroom. While her sister will just come down the stairs to tell us that she need a cup of water or has to use the bathroom. Never underestimate the action of totally surprising a toddler. I am glad that it worked for you.
Do you have any tips on how to keep a three and five year old in bed and out of the bathroom?

@sparkey2140 It sucks, it sucks bad, but I believe it really works. Consistent bedtime routine. Everything same order, every night. Make sure that last drink and even extra kisses are part of the routine, no excuses for later :) Then when they do get out of the bed, simple statements. "It is night time." and "It is sleep time." and then back into bed. It all depends on the child on how long the process takes. My daughter only took a month, my older son a grueling 3 1/2 months :(

@sparkey2140 Had to add as well that now that they are a little older and they will go to bed exactly when we say, it could be 5 p.m., it could be 9 p.m. and they will go to sleep :) No fighting, no fussing, just routine, and sleep. It's nice for a couple that can't afford to hire a babysitter, to put the kids to bed early, and have a quiet night to themselves every now and then :) :)

@MySamanthamarie When you go week after week of every night of her doing the exact same kind of messing around instead of staying in her bed, you have to get creative with your punishments. After this happened, she didn't get out of her bed, after we put her to bed for at least 4 days.
