EDMONTON TORCH TREK PT 1
SOS THE AMERICAS
On October 23 2009 the famous Torch Of Life was lit in Wasilla, Alaska. It was the start of 2 year journey that ends up in Argentina October 24 2011. During this journey thousands of students will carry the Torch from almost 300 cities in 36 countries of the Americas. Together, with the community, media and all levels of Government, these student torch champions will bring organ & tissue donations to the forefront and hopefully help save many lives

St. Albert's Soccer Association

Ray Jorgensen recruited girls aged 12 years old from St Albert's Soccer Association to carry the Torch Of Life from Edmonton City Hall to Alberta Legislative Building. Mayor Stephen Mandel lit the Torch
Legendary Metis artist Fox Morin and longtime friend of George Marcello took care of the road team with excellent hospitality at his house. We also got to meet his newly wedded wife Marty and his new family
