In a press conference in Kabul Joya denounces massacre of over 150 civilians in Farah

On May 5, 2009, in a U.S raid on Bala Baluk district of Farah, according to official figures of local authorities, over 147 civilians were killed, most of them children and women.

On May 11, 2009, Malalai Joya, the suspended member of Afghan parliament and the most famous and outspoken woman in Afghanistan, held a press conference in Kabul and called the U.S. act of civilian killings a war crime which should be prosecuted in the international criminal court. She referred to it as massacre.

She also expressed her disgust that Pentagon and the Afghan puppet government of Hamid Karzai are trying to put the death toll as low as possible. She called it like throwing salt on the wounds of Afghan people that Pentagon announced that the number of casualties is only 12, while Joya presented a list of over 164 civilians, many of them children and women, who have been awfully killed in the bombardment of the U.S. war planes on two villages of Farah.

Joya called the Obama administration the same as that of Bush and said that the new policy of Obama is as tragic for Afghans as it was Bush policy. Surge in the number of troops has already increased civilians casualties.




به تاریخ ۵ می ۲۰۰۹ نیروهای امریکایی با بمباردمان مناطق مسکونی در دو قریه بالابلوک ولایت فراه در غرب افغانستان، بیش از 150 تن از هموطنان بیگناه ما را که اکثر شان کودکان و زنان بودند به خاک و خون کشانید.

طی کنفرانس مطبوعاتی‌ای در کابل به تاریخ ۲۱ ثور ۱۳۸۸ (۱۱ می ۲۰۰۹) ملالی جویا کشتار وحشیانه غیرنظامیان بوسیله اشغالگران امریکایی و ناتو را شدیدا محکوم کرده و آنرا جنایت جنگی هولناک نامید. او کشتار اخیر در قریه بالابلوک ولایت فراه را قتل عام مردم مظلوم نامید و خواهان کشاندن امریکا به دادگاه بین‌المللی جنایات جنگی شد. او گفت که امریکا باید از افغانستان اخراج شود ورنه مردم علیه آن راهی جز قیام نخواهند داشت. او همچنان دولت مزدور کرزی و پنتاگون را برای کم نشان دادن تعداد قربانیان به باد انتقاد گرفت و گفت با اینکار اینان به زخم های مردم ما نمک می‌پاشند.

جویا درین کنفرانس مطبوعاتی لیستی از 164 تن از قربانیان این قتل عام را به روزنامه نگاران داد که بوسیله هوادارانش در آن قریه ترتیب داده شده است. او گفت که دولت و امریکایی ها میکوشند کم جلوه دهند تا بر جنایت شان خاک بیاندازند. جویا گفت که جنایتکاران امریکایی با یک "ساری" گفتن و کرزی و سایر مزدوران امریکا با "تنکیو" گفتن میخواهند قضیه خاموش کنند.

درین کنفرانس مطبوعاتی، همایون، پسر جوانی از قریه گرانی ولسوالی بالابلوک نیز حضور داشت و چشمدیدش را از جنایات هولناک در آن قریه بیان داشت. او افزود که 19 تن از اعضای فامیل و بیش از 53 تن از اقاربش را درین حادثه از دست داده است.
