BTW the A/V receiver running this system is the [amazing] Anthem MRX700, and the system is being played in Anthem's proprietary AnthemLogic Music mode, which uses the front and surround speakers (no center) plus the sub (which are the speakers you are hearing in this video).

i just bought a $3000 qosmio gaming laptop lol its insane, full HD 1080p LED display 120hz, 2nd gen i7 cpu, and the new nivida geforce gtx560 gpu that can run everything on high, deadspace looks amazing, oh and its 3D (playin in 3D is lots of fun), i cant wait to hook it up to the anthem, thanks for your insight

@Jak3HxC Dang sounds you got quite a set up. The only computer games I ever really played were MechWarrior 3 and 4, and I still play them sometimes. Lol I'm still stuck on playing Ace Combat and Kingdom Hearts for the PS2. So I got a refurbished 60 GB Playstation 3 several months ago to go with my MRX300 :)

@MrHamit64 They are freaking amazing. Pair them with the new Paradigm Monitor SUB8 subwoofer (which is beyond incredible for its size), a Yamaha RX-A810, a URC MX-450 multi-function remote plus an RF adaptor for it, and about $100 worth of speaker wires + a subwoofer cable, and you're at about $3300. Even that would sound amazing.

Anthem is a great brand but i think Arcam sound more musical and cheaper.

@falkenlaser i just got battlefield 3 like 2 days ago and a wireless 360 controller, it looks phenomenal on my laptop, running all settings on ultra the texture is brilliant, im going to spend the weekend trying to clock it haha yup im pretty excited bout gettin anthem coz i just heard about it, b ut from research they use quality components to make audiophile grade products,. btw im not really into computers im just a tech junkie HAHA

@Jak3HxC Anthem is far above Onkyo Pioneer (in fact does Onkyo even make receivers in this price range? I'd think their receivers in this price range would be the Integra brand).

Oooooo yeah if you're getting a JL Audio Fathom f113, you're going to want to have some serious power coming from your speakers, too. So yes the MRX700 would be the way to go.

BTW, check out my video "RE: "Bose Speakers Are the Best! Haters Just Can't Afford Them!" (Pt.1)." I think you'll like the system in it.

@falkenlaser wow i like that answer HAHA the "multiple input" fad doesnt interest me, i just want high quality audio, an like you said separates are a lil costly, do you think it sounds better then a pioneer and onkyo in the same price range? i know you cant hear the force of this system on youtube but it does sound like it has balls haha yup ok im gettin the mrx700, im slowly building my system, next is the fathom 113 which is a staggering $5000 here

@Jak3HxC Before Anthem made receivers, everything they made was super high-end. All they made were separates, so you'd have to buy a surround sound processor and amp(s) separate. And the least expensive processor is like $5000; and it still needs an amp, and the least expensive 5-channel amp Anthem makes is like $1800 or so. And all of this technology is used in these A/V receivers. While these receivers lack the number of inputs similarly-priced receivers have, they sound better than them.

@Jak3HxC I'd say in that case the MRX500 would be a better deal if they cost that much in Australia (they're actually cheaper over here). But oh yes I'd go for the Anthem over the Pioneer. Anthem's products are built a lot better. Not only that, but they have Anthem Room Correction (ARC), which is an extremely powerful room EQ feature. The only downside of it is ARC requires a laptop to use (or if you have a desktop computer nearby and a really long USB extension cord).
