Miguel Alvarez was one of my favorites characters as well on OZ together with Ryan O'Riley. Those two characters had much depth in them, both emotionally and psychologically. I have all the seasons on DVD. The ending of the series was definitely awkward. I have to agree on that with you.

actually come to think of it, I'd quickly chop Luiz in the throat. What would I have to lose. Luiz was no better when you think of it. I know people like him. Just because one does not commit murder, does not make them evil.

Now he is no longer a regular guy. Had a regualr guy punched out Luiz, perhaps after sometime, Luiz would forgive him. Miguels laundry list of violent crimes which, coming from a libertarian, would not be acceptable out in the world, Luiz was thinking in our best interest. Had Miguel just stayed a guy who assaulted an old man, Luiz would still taunt him but let him out with massive restrictions for the next 5 years of probatbion

After a long review of Miguel's actions ins the past, Luiz was justified. Lets have a look.

Beats up an old man for scrapping his car. Forgivable. Deserves 6 years of prison after getting parole rejected a few times to teach him a lesson.

Pokes out a CO's eyes. Bad move. Up to life in solitary.

Kills Vasquez, Carlo does not count as that was self defense, gets more time tacked onto him. He could have just punched Vazquez but no, he had to revert to a shank.
