Quadrophenia is the sixth album by the English rock band The Who. Released on 19 October 1973, Quadrophenia is a double album, and the group's second rock opera. Its story involves social, musical, and psychological happenings from an English teenage perspective, set in London and Brighton in 1964 and 1965. The name is a variation on the incorrect popular usage of the medical diagnostic term schizophrenia as multiple personality disorder to reflect the four distinct personalities of Jimmy, the opera's protagonist—each said to represent the personality of one member of The Who. The title also referenced the Quadraphonic sound schemes then being introduced.

Songs Included:

09) IS IT IN MY HEAD?
10) I'VE HAD ENOUGH

  • Quadrophenia helped me get through my teen years. F***ing awesome! So many memories. Now as I listen, in comparison to today's music, it kinda sounds dated with an almost country twang. I hope the newer generation can really take a listen to all this LP has to offer. The feelings are STILL there and real for me & always will be. AMEN!

Thanks so much for the post!

  • @benabz great comments!!!...I have loved this album since I was 15. Then I was young and wanted everything right now.Couldn't get it fast enough..couldn't listen to the music fast enough. Now that I'm older it is time to enjoy this Masterpiece a bit slower. I think I'll have that Cognac...Cheers, mate..!! and to the BOYS who were always there for me especially during my teens and 20's.. Pete, Roger, John (RIP) and Keith(RIP)

  • Loved this album since the first time I heard it. I loved somebody writing, singing, raging about the pain I felt. That was then. Now I'm old enough to be the parents of every teenager and young adult alive. I've been where you are today. Life gets better.

This may sound square, but my best advice? Love the Who. But ALWAYS be true to yourself. Make good friends who will respect you first. Stay far away from drugs, no matter how you think they are. Get educated. Change the world.

  • @Mods130 Jesus, make friends with your english teacher.

  • @JasonBonitati haha mod has gone where it belongs under ground. im happy teens are finding the mod image cuz lets be honest we feel better knowing we're different. in a strange way, a bit like quadrophenia :P

  • @daremejustabit it doesn't sound dated to me and I'm 17 years old lol
