In the January event I had to put up with freezing cold water and even out of the water it was -4 so bloody cold. In addition to that I got electrocuted on more than one occasion by electric fences (once in the head) and had to run what seemed like endless miles before completing an assault course that the British army reckon is worse than theirs... Basically it was bloody tough; it is billed as the world's toughest test of mental and physical endurance. At the January event approximately 4,500 people from all over the world began the race and hundreds dropped out on the way round either due to hypothermia, broken bones or exhaustion. It really was that tough, but I raised over a grand for Help for Heroes and the Fund for Heroes Sanctuary so it was worth all the pain.
