  • when you get to adding a uv map to your person can you please use gimp instead of Photoshop for people that can't afford PS

  • @c3cool great idea, i'll do that :)

  • @ward7299:

Hahaha, Maybe do both?... Maybe? You know, for those that saved up to buy Photoshop with wise and disciplined budgeting, but would like a bit more instruction about how to use it to texture 3D models?

Or not, it's really up to you...

  • @ninjabuntu well really, the tools are very similar with both softwares, so honestly either one i choose should be easily translated to the other

  • Is multires detail compatible with animation? Like, if I wanted to add key poses for animating expressions, would I add them before or after adding in detail?

  • @TwirlySocrates you probably CAN animate with it, but it turns your mesh into such high-resolution, it would take a long time to render. but keep watching; in the next part i'll show how to do a "tangent normal map" to where all the detail you add gets turned into basically a "bump map" and you can apply it to a lower-resolution model

Dude thanks I was trying to figure out wth was wrong with that texture edit tool and now I know it was set to smooth. Wth would they do that on the factory settings. But thx man

  • @Hyroyan98

2.58 was released and it works ;)

  • the new official Blender 2.57 doesn't support sculpt with subsurf or mirror, and probably other modifiers

  • Lol, i have spent hours on a model without realizing it.

i noticed that u press xyz for moving objects or faces on an axis. if you have to spinning wheel in the middle of yur mouse (the that lets u look around) if u click it down while moving the object in a certain direction, it will snap to it, but i bet u already knew that

  • yeah, i lose time working on this it was 9pm next thing i know it was already 5 am

  • Isn't there any more videos? :,-(

  • Cool! Good, purpose-driven intro to sculpt! Reminding us also that the [sculpting brush diameter] can be modified by the F key when on the background; SHIFT+F modifies the falloff strength.... is that right?

  • @ward7299:

True enough I suppose. All and all JB 2.0 has really been turning out quite nicely to me at least.

    Good work...
