I've got the scars to remind me, I've watched the clocks go around. I've walked myself through some days that have put me where I am. In another time, in another place all things might have been in place, but for now I'm finding myself up here standing on a rooftop screaming "hey world, are you listening? Are you listening to me? I'm here and I'm hurting to begin again." It's another time, it's another place, and we are making more old days, but for now I'm finding myself out here standing on my doorstep screaming. "Hey world are you listening? Listen to me, I'm here and I'm hurting to begin again. Hey world I'm ready to listen, and learn something new. I'm here and I'm willing to get myself through."

  • @666789443 Naw, he's a pretty good singer. I get the impression you don't listen to much punk?

  • @TheLuciferian123 Chuck roast

  • This one has a lot more emotion but Trio's version is a lot more like what I like to hear in songs.

  • @666789443 Saying "Chuck Ragan cannot sing" is like saying "Chuck Norris cannot roundhouse-kick"...

  • Even though it's a cover, I still like the Alkaline Trio version better.

  • i had dream recently screaming death metal hot water music to a band i felt sounded like the mix. i think my friend michael was there an or in the band

  • This song is incredible. I've heard the Trio version, but Chuck's bellow is more ballsy. This song has that desperate, raw vibe as opposed to Trio's more polished and slick vibe. Both are good- It's just a matter of feeling.

Also, HWM has more emphasis on the low-end. It's more booming and deep, while AK3's is more guitar driven.

  • @666789443 Wtf, it's very hard to scream like that. Chuck is awesome.

  • @beano311 That's a gripe I have with Skiba's voice as well.
