The Carphone Warehouse has been misleading customers over it's own insurance to get them to take out the more expensive deal rather than less expensive options from other vendors.

What is not covered in the news piece is that the Carphone Warehouse also changed their returns policy for the iPhone 3 days after launch. Their new policy now means that if you have activated your iPhone you are stuck with it. In activating it you effectively waive your 14 day cooling off period.

  • At the time the iPhone went on sale, it was only available through Carphone Warehouse on contract - not PAYG and not Sim Free, so what the guys were saying is true. If you wanted to get an iPhone from Carphone Warehouse you'd have to get it on contract.

  • @jmgev you deserve too get ripped off mate, why put ur trust in another person, you should do ur own research before you shop dont belive someone else at face value, we live in the information world now we have the internet and all sorts, theres sites such as gsmarena.com gives you all the specs of every phone, so yeah ur a mug and deserve too be ripped for ur stupidty. MUG

  • I can understand why they said that. If Carphone did not sell the phones on their own, then it would be possible to obtain another handset through them by signing another contract. I guess they assumed the customers would not want to buy from Apple directly.

  • i buy nothing off them, they ripped me off too many times.

  • carphone warehouse is the biggest scam in the UK.

  • watch my videowww.youtube.com/watch?v=RN-uW_tjgMI

  • I saw this guy on the Extras Chrismas special...!

  • @blueberry100500 You can get it sim free though and put a pay as you go sim in it

  • the bbc send out thousands of letters to people who dont own a t v demanding money from them, watchdog should investigate themselves

  • there not supposed to open the phone once you've bought it init? it happened to my friend once when she's was gettin a new phone with her mum and the free voucher and sim card was missing when they looked inside it. she returned it but no money back still! after she watched this it made her think twice & avoid the shop forever!
