Tales of The Riverbank.wmv

Theme from a childrens BBC TV show in the 60's. Apparently made in Canada and overdubbed by Johnny Morris of the BBC. Screened in 34 countries so no doubt overdubbed a few more times. The guitar theme stems from a piece by the Italian composer Mauro Giulliani and is heard on steel and nylon strings in several different arrangements.

The WIKI page said it was shown on US TV as a late night show?  Became a cult series but re-titled 'Once upon a hamster'. Anyhow thanks for watching and that'll be my last post this year. Holiday time!

I really enjoyed that. My uncle Paul Sutherland created Tales of the Riverbank with his partner Dave Ellison, and then brought it back on his own and titled it Once Upon a Hamster. That song brings back fond memories for me. We all miss him. :-)
